Les Miserables 3 In his novel, Les Miserables, author Victor Hugo makes a conceptive statement ab stunned society being the cause for lousiness in man. Les Miserables is based on a poor man, grim jean Valjean, who was arrested for stealing a loaf of bread to go his sisters starved baby.
